On Tuesday (07/01) Krakatau Steel Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cilegon State Attorney.

This activity was attended by the Head of Cilegon District Attorney Diana Wahyu Widiyanti, SH, MH. and her staff, President Director of Krakatau Steel Akbar Djohan and his staff, and all President Directors of Krakatau Steel Subsidiaries.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is a form of Krakatau Steel Group's commitment in prioritizing aspects of compliance and good governance in every business activity, which at this time Krakatau Steel Group is continuing the transformation and restructuring that must be carried out while still complying with laws and regulations so that legal assistance is needed to provide direction to the Krakatau Steel Group.

Krakatau Steel President Director Akbar Djohan welcomed and supported the cooperation between Krakatau Steel Group and Cilegon District Attorney.

“This cooperation is expected to be a good tool in establishing relationships that foster mutual development,” Akbar explained.

Akbar further explained that in supporting compliance aspects of compliance and good governance, KS Group is currently running a culture of shame campaign within the Krakatau Steel Group.

“Currently Krakatau Steel Group has started and is running a culture of shame campaign that aims to increase the awareness of every employee to be wiser in behavior so that the foundation of Krakatau Steel Group's Human Resources can develop even better,” Akbar added.

Akbar is optimistic that this campaign will have a good impact on the Company to rise in achieving its glory again.

“The creation of quality human resources, support from various stakeholders including the Cilegon District Attorney's Office, transformation program efforts to further restructuring that we continue to do, it is not impossible that Krakatau Steel Group can permanently rise again and achieve even better achievements,” Akbar concluded.
